Uden at blive alt for anal omkring det, var det faktiske en del af "fredsbetingerlserne" at tyskerne ikke maatte bygge fly. Ligeldes var det ikke tilladt for dem i en aarräkke at bygge motorcykler paa mere end end 250 ccm.
