As for aluminum and steel usually your right but this alluminum rim center has steel cletes inside them he welds to the outer chrome rim and has not had issues yet even in rusty old england.. john

<p>I dont like them, I think they have a Nasa " space " look and will look too odd on a old vdub... but again lets see them on a car instead!</p>
<p>aluminium and steel is never a great combo, thats my experience that it always ends up eating each other... </p>

			<description><p>Yes rasser its a cast alluminum center with steel cleet molded into them ,so when he installs the centers into the steel rim he can weld the center  the outer rim.<br />
This is the original old school way of wheel building like the originals he said.<br />
This has had extensive expensive testing by the us government like the mot in uk.We call it DOT approved which means about 6 sets of 4 wheels were crushed, hit, slammed,cut in half , and basically destroyed to see there limits,then passed onto a safe for motorway use. So they ae very strong,most if not all aftermarket wheels on the market for vw never get this test as its to expensive,its easier just to stam them with NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE!or offroad use only..<br />

These wheels are a new wheel to randees allready well established wheel company.<br />
The prices will be announced sunday easter sunday on the samba but i know they will not be in  the publics eyes till bug in 34 there in california. I will post these pics after 10 oclock cali time here in about 5 minutes. You are the first guys to see this wheel and no other country or web site has seen it either only me and randee and the foundry have seen these till now. Let me know if you want to order some. These wheels are made to order and can come machine finished or polished in a variety of sizes..<br />
