The same VW chassis was used with the Vokaro body and a high speed, 72 volt motor. The 12, six volt batteries, were capable of producing 75 amps for about 100 minutes. A few years later I was able to purchase an electronic speed control system. The electronic system enhanced performance and greatly improved the range. This system served my needs well for many more years was also used in the Fiat project. The Vokaro was able to achieve almost 70 MPH (with the windshield removed) and a range of over 75 miles at 55 MPH.
