Her er hans beskrivelse:

it really is solid just kinda ugly, even the vents in the nose are solid. The rear corner behind the rear wheel on right is blown out, but the underside is good enouigh to fix. The outside piece you can buy but not the underside or baackside. The drivers side is good .Weird.. Anyways the rockers are solid enough to jump up and down on, and the door jambs are gapped right and shut nicely.

Hi Ovalguy..

Let me tell you..... it's great to see such a deal being offered on our forum. I think it's a bargain.
I also respect the fact that you seem to frequent this site even though you have no (or little) idea , what's being said on here. Cool to have some foreign members!!
I'm in the middle of a projekt '49 Cadillac, but if i wasn't....... i'd sure grab that Ghia vert.
Keep stoppin' by.

Thomas, you should still buy it, you can keep it in the trunk of the 49 Cad and take it out to drive around when your at car shows with the 49 Cad.

Better than a mini motorcycle !!!

If you need anything for that big paper weight just ask I might be abe to find that stuff for you cheaper here in texas. There is actually a guy here named honest john and he only deals in caddillacs,, not to far from my home..and then theres the cadillace ranch see web site.. haha http://www.geocities.com/grandcanyonproject/caddy1.html
I am on here a lot and just lurking around guessing at what the heck you guys are chatting about..it would be much easier if you guys would show more pictures though..haha
anyways I will keep looking and trying to find more stuff to feed the need for rustfree cars and busses, ghias and stuff. If anyone needs anything just ask I might be able to find it or may allready know where one or two are..
back to reading this strange language, might as well be klingon from star trek... thanks guys..

Hi again..

Yes , it's a 49 fastback. Actually a pretty complete car when i got it, but sure enough I could use some parts in the future. I actually thought about contacting you through Allan at first but hey..... no need now ;-)
First thing i need to locate (not urgent though) is a rear bumper in good shape, as mine is dented and bent. Some repair panels for rear fenders would be next but never mind that for now.
Sounds like a sweet find, that 53 vert of your friends...... is it a driver?
Klingon?..... no but i'm sure ,to you, it looks like it, hahaha , but do jump in on whatever topic and i'm sure someone will answer/translate. Afterall we got Coty on here , who even if his danish is excelent will correspond in english, every now and then , no probs.

Later.

found another 53 54 convertible today I went to a swap meet about 200 miles away(3 hours) and found a place that had hundreds of old 40 50s cars.Actually passed about three yards that had old crap like that..Not that your car is crap..
I can help you find it but shipping is gonna kill you the damn bumper might sink the ship..Or if you talk someone into buying this ghia....you could have me just throw it in it as a anchor ...haha
Oh for the guy who asked it has the bumper the grilles and most parts no motor and no top material, also has NO seats but they can be found easily.. actually found them yesterday 75.00 each.. but that was high I thought..
anyways..allan has instructed me to try to post some pics of the bumpers so I might try that later. I have a extra set og hia bumpers to sell or trade. Allright klingon or no klingon I will try to keep up with you all.
Thanks guys for practicing your english and I will not laugh if you try to spell it and fail..Thats 10000000 times better than my danish or german or anything but english. And ask allan I butcher my own language talking and spelling. And if you look at this these are probably the longest sentences in the whole world.. pronunciation is not my strong suit.
FINDING cars is! haha

Greetings Ovalguy. I'm looking for a daily driver whilst I retore my '64 standard. Would consider a SC, panel, KG or bug 'vert. Don't care what it looks like as I'll restore it when the split's finished. Bottom line is I need something that is solid and drives ok. I'd love the ghia 'vert but the missus would kill me, and it'd just sit in the resto queue annoying the neighbours. If you know of anything, or find anything, pm me, I'm sure we can come to an arrangement regarding finders fee/comission, and what with the strength of the dollar!!!!!!! US prices are pretty attractive these days, that coupled with the damn UK market inflating the whole of Europe's prices, I'm thinking import is the way to go. If we can get enough interest, then a container with 3 vehicles should cut down the shipping considerably.
Cool window to the west you give us! 8)

I might be interested in Ghia front and rear bumpers if the Crome is OK. I would prefer the European type without override bars.

It is for a 1961 Coupé

Price ?

well ORANGE BUG ,sorry the euro bumpers are only over there, i guess we hardly ever see them here.
I have two rear bumpers still with good chrome.. not super super straight but they are very easy to straighten even without hurting the chrome. have done this before with a vise and 2 blocks of wood.. sounds primitive but it works..with some time..they usually rust out so bad on the corners there hard to find solid..

OK now BONGO
ok you left the cars open to dicussion, you do not really care what it is as long as it is rustfree or very close?I know of hundreds of project cars, maybe even a thousand. You tell me exactly the condition you want and I will scare one up.
I know of ealry ghia projects, bus projects double door panels, bugs,no trucks right now.. but I can find anything you want really .I am in a dry state of texas, humid yes rainy? sometimes.I can help you with the shipping and all that.Titles are usually my biggest problem but I have found a way to handle that issue lately.
I did find a super nice ghia the other day a 68 hardtop factory paint and appears to be rustfree or from what I coudl see of it anyways working on finding the owner now..I will see if I can post picture.. as you know my luck with that is limited so lets see if I am lucky today.. crap where is the upload a picture button i saw earlier or is that just if you want to starta new thread.. help....
ahhhhhhhh! wheres allan...haha

Mbechmann> It's around the 15.000 kr mark for one car..... cheaper of course if you fill up the container with cars , parts and what not.

Hi again, og, OK, this would be the order of preference:
1. Truck (none you know of, too bad)
2. Panel
3. Bus
4. 'vert beetle
5. 'vert ghia
6. Ghia
7. beetle
I'm not fussy tho, I'd take a solid Ghia over a shabby truck if it meant I could drive it from day 1.
The main requirement is that it is good enough to pass inspection without spending more than a weekend or 2 working on it. Paint is not an issue, but as little welding as possible, good running gear and a useable trans and gearbox. I want to use it whilst I restore my microbus and not start a collection of projects and get snowed under.
