Coty og Bugservice * Pimp my Ride ** Part 2 *
In cooperation with Bugservice, we will from Nov 2005 til April 2006 completely tear down the Wheels project bug and make a new Old School Rodl Look bug ready for Hannover May 1st.
The bug was a Wheels project in 85, 86 and is still in FLOT condition with no rust, just a little surface rust under the car. The hood has a little bubbles around where they removed the handle , and one cracked area on the back fender. Other than that , it is completely clean.
Some say, Why are you going to paint it ??? The light blue was fine for 1985, but it needs to be more Old School with a new twist. Color and design will be shown later.
We will be keeping the wheels, interior and bumpers which was unique to the Wheels project. Tires, suspension , brakes will be replaced. A 2.3 motor will be installed. The front fenders do not pass with the look of the bug, so they will be replaced.
Sorry Bornholmer, but DVD , Navigation and running lights will be installed also to give it a modern day add on.
Today the plates were ordered, YANKEE , which I think will pass fint with the driver of the car. ! :-)
Oct 17, is the planned date for Told og Skat to vurdering.
Nov 2 is the planned date for beginning of the stripdown.
Maj 1, 2006 Its showtime !!!!!!
