Hejsa

Jeg er fra Holland men bor i Danmark. Hvad var den originale pris på en VW type 22 (1,4) fra 1964, dengang det blev solgt i Danmark?

Ok - my Danish sucks a bit - I have only lived here 2 years but I am trying, so here I go in English. I am importing a mint condition VW Type 22 1,4 from 1964 to Denmark, but I need to know what the price was in 1964 , so that I can pay the 40% Tax/Duty on it. If any of you gentleman can help me, I would be very grateful.

Mvh

Hi Paul, the Told office has that info, they will tell you what you have to pay for deposit. And after they look over the vehicle, you then get a letter in the mail that says how much you have to pay.

Thank you for your help YankieBar - I spoke to the lovely people at the Told, and they told me the same, but I would really like to know in advance what the salesprice was for this vehicle in 1964. It is totally original, almost rust free, and had 2 owners. Is there a hjemmeside where I can find the original salesprices of cars in 1964 ?

Honestly having the original salesprice will not do you much good. When more than 7 cars (or so), that make and year, has been imported and taxed that becomes the standard for what you need to pay ToldSkat. That's unfortunately the rules here.
Send a request to ToldSkat and they will tell you what your deposit will be, the final tax shouldn't differ much.
My guess you will land somewhere in the neighbourhood of 5-7k (maybe less).

If you still want to know the sales price go to your nearet public library and get a copy of Bilrevyen from 1964. I´m quite sure that you can find the price there.

Just browsed http://www.bibliotek.dk where you can order the book from 1965. Apparently you can also access an electronic version of the 1965-version through some of the libraries. Nad in the 1965-version there is a VW 221 Kleinbus

http://www.statsbiblioteket.dk/gentofte/cgi-bin/browse.pl?revy=bil-revyen&input=1965/Personbiler/S-Z&mode=browse

You might check it out!

Cheers

Jeg mener prisen var omkring 11900,- i 1966 og omkring 15800,- for en samba.
Jeg betalte 5650,- for min for 6 år siden.
