Den Rune skriver om, er det ikke TRL`s rustbox?
well where to start ok ses auto first ..ok your bus was here in texas and was found when i went to drop off a oval ragtop to my friend that lives in mexico.
My friend and I unloaded the two ovals and then went further south towards where my father in law lives, my friends kids wanted to go the the us shopping areas.Anyways like normal vw people we abbandoned our families and went vw hunting..haha
We went along the border town which are very mexican influenced and speak hardly any english, most americans speak some english.( i know enough to get laid, shot ,and call someone something they are not going to like) haha
Anyways we found a 2001 bettle for sale and asked about it and then asked about kombis( all buses to mexicans)and he said over by the railroad tracks theres a old early bus with the windows in the roof,so off we went to the races looking for the humourous never found fictional 21 23 window bus..
well we found your bus dry as hell sitting on the side of the tracks,up asgainst a fence. The lady at the house only spoke spanish and then rudy my amigo talked o her and got the guys number , i had to call long distance (3 miles other side of the usa fence)to get ahold of what we thought was the owner, well it was not it was his brother, who was in kansas another state further north of texas by 6 hours. So we called him on another long distance mexican phone that he had up there. Talked ot him then he said ok its for slae and yes you van buy it we made the deal but had to pay the ladys son who was in mexico and had agreed to come to the border to pay him. What a pain in the ass, they did not trust the lady thats land it was on.. its there own mother.. anyways dragged it home and sold it to a nice dane. so thers the story with that bus.. thers pics on the vwnette i think of where we found it.. john
ok fastoldvw
yes thats micha racing trl bus,in mexico..
that bus was here for 300.00 bucks i went and got it for a freind same mexican friend he left it at my house for many many months and I finally got tired of it being in my way and sent it to him.. he smuggled it into the mexican country and did it up, made the narrowed airide system himself, slammed it all right with super low mileagae taxi motor and tranny. The after new rubber tires and wheels and all that shit we resmuggled it back into to usa and the sold it to thomas, and frosty wanted it also..that was quite a mess thomas knew of it then told frosty eh did not want it then frosty wanted it then he didnt then thomas jumped in again and bought it. GEEZ. anyways once in dk its changed a lot since then..
I originally though my god thats a rough ass bus, rusted top to bottom inside and out. Rustbox described it well now its a cool kombi i think.. slammed still and painted i think even. that pics from when rudy had the ass end done and thomas wanted to see how low it was in the ass. Anyways there you go fastoldvw

Hi John
Now that you have started the good stories, do you know the story behind my 1959 Westy?
It`s far from the typical dry Texas bus, was it stored in a bad/wet place?
All I know is that you sold it to Allan Wind, who imported it to Denmark, and then I bought it in same condition, as when it left Texas.
